Applaud them for taking an intangible.

How'd they pick it up & carry it?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune here at this time of year. I would start calling the local churches in the community and explain what happened. There are always provisions for situations like this. There should be a local food pantry that keeps not only food but other items as well. They might even be able to help set you up with a nice dinner. Where are friends and family members? They need to be involved. Christmas isnt just about the presents even though that's hard telling a small child. You should have a local Ministerial Association that has people prepared for times like this. I would start early in the morning calling. If all of your resources are exhausted at the end of the day, take 10 bucks to the Dollar Tree store and buy 10 items that you can wrap up and put under the tree. Your kids will learn that Christmas really isnt about the presents, it's about spending time together as a family. Watch a movie together, play a few games, make up a game! I hope you achieve what you are hoping for.

Stold?
If you mean someone stole gifts, that's easy. Draw them a picture of what you had bought for them (or cut a picture from a magazine) wrap it up and tell them that because the Grinch took their presents, you will all have to go together to buy new ones, and they can help you pick out exactly what they want.
Have you reported the theft to the police and to your insurance agent?

Even without gifts, have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the day with your family.

If someone has taken your children's gifts, call the police and report a theft. If someone has been very mean and told your kids that there is no such thing as Santa, calm them down by explaining that Santa either does exist as long as someone somewhere believes in him, or say that you and Santa work together, but he only offers advice on what to get, or that parents are in fact Santa (my mom told me that and I went with it after a while). Or, if you are of a religion/faith/whatever that does not celebrate Christmas, and someone told your kids about the true meaning of Christmas yadda yadda and now they want to know why they can't participate, it's up to you to explain your beliefs on Christmas to them. I hope this helps, I kind of don't understand your question...

Call the police. And hope that whatever Grinch did this has an attack of conscience and returns your Christmas. Sorry this happened to you.
