I can really relate to this one. I'm in my late 30's now and happy but back in my early to mid 20's I was not in a really good place. I would go out and be in places with tons of people and never felt more alone. I would come home depressed. It wasn't until I learned to be happy with who I was and started loving myself that it stopped. I moved away from home to a place where I knew absolutely nobody and only then did I discover happiness because I learned to trust and believe in myself. Strange that I needed to be alone in order not to feel alone.

Sure l have. You can be in a room full of people but if you do not know them or you are shy you can feel very much alone. Once you start talking to people and make an effort to be friendly that all changes ofcourse. Unless you are in a room where you are not very popular in which case it probably wouldn't matter what you tried to do, you would probably still feel like you were alone.Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you.

yes, and it probobly happens more then it should to

with me, it happens a lot, if there is no joy in the room. Sometimes, i will just be sitting in a room with my family, and the TVs on, but no one is talking or laughing, just sitting there, HATE THAT. or when someone is doing something while ure in the room, like on the Computer or talking on the phone, that can be very lonely to. Or just plain awkwardness, but thats not really lonleyness. um....yah, if your in a room with someone you don't like, very lonely :'(, and thats all that i have experienced.

Im sorry if you have experienced this, it can be very sad :'(. Best of Luck

yeah...When I feel like I have nothing common with the rest of the people around me. It's probably one of the suckiest feelings ever. I think it's worst then being alone. Cuz then at least you feel comfortable with your self.
