I believe in spirits and I know for a fact that they exist. I would rather not explain how I know because some of the people on here dont believe and will only find some kind of sarcastic remark to make. Not that I care but when you believe in something and you know that its real, you shouldn't have to prove anything to anyone.

It depends on what you mean - I don't believe that poltergeists move things in the house... I don't believe in phantasms walking the halls.
There is absolutely no evidence that has ever been produced despite millions of dollars in investment that demonstrates that 'ghosts' exist.
But I do believe that places absorb some sort of yet un-understood energy from those who've lived and died there... there is a power in the past, whether inherited, or psychological, or physical... and the older the place, the more who've been there, and the more intense the events that occurred, that make some places more intense than others.
It could be as simple as racial memory, or the emotional impact of those places. I don't know...
Certainly science hasn't detected anything of the source - but if you wander through an old cemetery, and I mean an OLD cemetery, I get feelings there... as well as in old buildings...
So either its an emotional response that we humans have, or something that science hasn't identified yet...

Trusted family members have a few incredible stories and I don't have any reason to believe they would lie to me. One story involved two close family members (a very small child and an adult) seeing the same thing on the same night while in different rooms. The stuff that's happened in my family convinced me when I was very young and I don't care to believe they were all lying. I pretty much never believe anyone else when they tell me a story though. It makes no real difference to me if they exist or not but I enjoy believing in it.

i do and dont at the same time. i believe that you still love a person you want to believe they are still with you . feeling the presence of someone would be considered a "ghost" thing then ya but i dont because they arent like the stereotypical ghost figure

I believe in ghosts but I'm not really sure why. I do believe that my house is haunted! It's pretty creepy here at night.

yep ghosts are real. those people who haven't seen them or heard them are just skeptics.
when our family friend died and her 4 year old son, they both died from smoke inhalation, her and her son's ghost wondered in our house because she was "lost" and because she and her son had a traumatic death she was looking to come home. Me and my family felt their prescense in our house and I couldn't even leave my room because I felt them in the hallways and in the living rooms.
My room was the only safe place.
She and her son even haunted our neighbors place because she was friends with them as well.
After her and her son's funeral, we alll felt soooo peaceful. they obviously rested in peace or gone to the light or Heaven as you call it. and there were no more haunts.
