Like, for Christmas, I'm asking for an Apple Laptop. My mom says I'm not getting one. But for some reason, this year, I can picture myself opening it and being totally happy and full of joy! Is this wrong, or odd, eventhough my mom says it's not going to happen?

No its something you really want so its natural to picture having what you want in your mind. Do not be disappointed if you don't get it and don't take it out on your mom cause she did tell you that you weren't going to get one. If you don't get one you will naturally be upset cause you have pictured it so clear. Find out why you didn't get it ... Is it because you are not allowed to have one? or is it because of something else... If you are allowed come up with a plan to earn it, Find out how much it is and do things to earn the money to pay for one...Give it to yourself for Spring...It is good to picture what you want in your mind... Making it happen for yourself is even better. If you are not allowed you need to understand that with something so expensive and potentially dangerous comes great responsibility instead of throwing a fit like a baby ask your mom what she needs to see from you to think you are responsible enough to handle this kind of thing... Try to nail her down to a time table or a clear list of things or behaviors she needs to have before you are allowed. There are always ways to get what you want and when you earn it for yourself it can be AWESOME!!!!

Either she means it, and you're fantasizing about something that won't happen...
Or she got you one, but wants to keep it a surprise.
In either case, be happy with whatever you get. If you dont get one for Christmas, make some money on your own (babysitting, working after school at a McDonalds or something) and then buy yourself one with your own hard-earned money.

psh1 i totally pictured myself getting off a plane down tin the carribean and running into my best friends arms who i havent seen in a year, oh i pictured that since january, but nope. instead i got arrested. MERRY CHISRTMAS! welll, my life may suck, but at least i have my health!

Its good , gives you something too look forward too ... yet if you don't get it ~_~ u will be disappointed just know what your mom said still.. dreaming is free so i hope you some how get it
