I honestly dont see how shy and quiet can come off as unfriendly and cold. You can always detect a shy, quiet person, they just seem anxious or a little timid, a little apprehensive to be sociable but look as though they desire to be.
Someone who is unfriendly and cold does not desire to be sociable, can walk around with their head up, and doesn't give a damn about no one. Thats where the coldness comes from.

But if you walk around and look approachable, meaning you look pleasant, happy, nice, etc. then it should be more obvious that you are just socially anxious, but no not cold.

Now as far as guys, not many guys like overly aggressive women, but also do not like excessively passive women. There has to be a balance. If when someone gets to know you, past your shyness and quiet demeanor, and see a person who is more laid back and comfortable, then I should see no reason why it is a turn off. You can tell if someone is sincere or not, so if this is a quality to exhibit, even if it has to be picked up by your demanor and not so much by your personality, then I believe that is should not be a turnoff.
Now, if your demeanor seems to lean more towards the cold-hearted anti-social person, then yes it would be a turn off.
But, your question alone sounds like you are concerned just by the wording. So I honestly cannot see it as being a turn off.

Yes, but if you're as young as I suspect you are, it's probably a good thing. There's a lot more out there than "turning a guy on". What about him working to try to attact you instead?

You're the girl the guy will marry in a few years when he grows up. You do not want to mess up your life by trying really hard to "turn (anyone) on".

because he's involved in you, include it!! Be directly up with him and ask him out! Ask him if he needs to snatch coffee or pass bowling. right this is the foremost...with me and a few pals!!! If he says no or makes up an excuse then say ok nicely possibly next time. He won't sense extraordinary or think of it quite is a date because you would be with pals and if he says particular it is going to be a classic undemanding going putting the place you adult adult males can communicate, have exciting, and get to understand one yet another greater suitable! They're not turned off but they're not quite sure how to read you so they assume your shyness is being stuck up, aloof or cold. Try being a little more friendly is you're looking for them to talk to you and judge you unfairly.

i guess they do, they turn away, that has happened to me before ... so what i do now is that if i really like a guy and i start to act shy, i just go and tell him im shy, so he can understand me and if he likes me he will made de move :D.
