My washer was delivered today and on the 2nd load it wouldn't run. It washed and spun and then filled with rinse water and stopped. The lights on the front are blinking and the door won't lock on it when I push start so it just blinks and does nothing else. Please help me the washer is brand new from Home Depot

You did not specify brand, and I am assuming you are a US customer... I think you best shot is The Home Depot Online Appliance Hotline warranty information line at 1-800-455-3869 since your product should be covered under warranty.

Both Maytag and LG manuals for the models I read up on suggest you reset the unit as this may be caused by an overloaded condition. GE manual suggests this could be caused by an overheated motor which will recover automatically after 30 minutes, or when you turn the unit back on. for LG, unplug the unit for a few minutes, then plug back in. Maytag suggests restarting the cycle by pressing the cycle selector. if these steps do not work, each manufacturer suggests calling their warranty line.

according to www.homedepot.com, Home Depot only carries three brands of front loading washers. Here are the warranty numbers for the manufacturers, you will need your model and serial #'s.

LG 1-877-714-7486 or http://www.lgservice.com
Maytag 1-800-688-9900 http://www.maytag.com/mths/cust_serv/default.jsp
GE 1-800-432-2737 www.ge.com

I have an LG that produced similar symptoms after an overload/unbalanced condition, unplug the washer, empty it, make sure it is balanced, make sure it is not overloaded, and try again. The error code I got was "LE".

A friend of mine had a similar condition with a Maytag where the door would not lock. The control board for the lock mechanism failed. Replacement of the board was required. Your machine is new, so a warranty is still your best option assuming you have not done anything to violate the manufacturer's warranty terms.

Pull the plug and after 30 seconds or so plug it back in and check the dispenser drawer(if you have one) to make sure it is closed all of the way. Restart the machine and see if it works.

READ the use and care book from cover to cover.

If you cannot resolve the problem call Home Depot Customer Relations

make confident you're utilizing HE detergent basically. This a low suds detergent fantastically for the front a lot. Use the deep sparkling cycle once a month. upload a million/2 cup of bleach straight away into the washer not the dispenser at the same time as utilizing the deep sparkling cycle. Pull the boot decrease back somewhat and make confident not some thing is blockading the boot drain. go away the door somewhat open at the same time as not in use.

Call or go down to the Home Depot you bought it from and tell them the problem. They are very good at customer service. Just remember to be nice --- they are people too.

GO TO THE PHONE AND TELL THEM TO EXCHANGE THE MACHINE. TALK TO THE MANAGER OF THE STORE. IF HE CANNOT DO IT ASK HIM WHO CAN AUTHORIZE IT. STOP PAYMENT IF NOT SATISFIED WITH THEIR RESPONSES.
