Okay.. not 2 hours.. 2 days! It's the weekend so the building that they are in is not open. They would definitely have to conveniently have a minimal supply of food. An old man with liquor, a britney-spears type character with chewing gum on hand, and a fat man with plenty of snacks in his briefcase. One of the characters would have to be a chain-smoker who has to fight the urge to light-up.. you have to have an ****** on board, a shy-type, a white wannabe pimp/gangsta, a Malcom X type character.. in two days you could imagine how crazy they would probably go. The beginning could start off comedic. Then the story can break down to how crazy each character becomes in a tight space with no food. By the time Monday rolls around, they find each character dead from maddness and starvation.
.. and I would like to thank the Academy for such a prestigious award...

Well they are in elevator! Elevators are small! My idea would be 10 people from different backrounds get stuck in school or a jail/cellar.

Sounds like an episode of "The Twilight Zone". The human interaction would be interesting - seeing how each person is dealing with the crisis situation.

I think it has been done...sort of.
Good idea if the writing is quick, funny, intense, etc. Otherwise we are talking a huge yawn.
