No, you cannot sue for 'bad advice' IF it actually happened (and wasn't just your grandfather misunderstanding), then you should bring it to the attention of the doctors. You'd be fools to listen to a nurse over a doctor. She does not have the full data, nor the training, nor the experience in cardiac care. Her job is primarily caring for the patient, not deciding what treatment is needed or diagnosing the situation. With any surgery, there are risks. However, with three blocked arteries he will have a poor quality of life even for the short time he has left.

Guess it depends on the relationship they have or the type of personality of the doc. If my doc said it, I would think it was quite funny.
