I have an opinion that may not go with what you expect.
I would say that it is real but not in the sense that allot of people think. The real ones are not using "spirits" or just pulling information out of a hat. It is the use of the brain in an extraordinary way. To predict. We still don't know the full capabilities of the human brain and so I submit this to you...
If you have a candle in a room (motionless air) and put your hand up between you and the wall you will see the shadow of your hand. The shape of the shadow is predictable. Now introduce some air movement and the flame flickers. The shadow may move and even slightly change shape but the shadow is still basically a hand.
There is no real science to this but some will call it a psychic ability when really it's taking all the variables like atoms in water and predicting where they will be or where they were. Couple this with the ability to examine "what is" like Sherlock Holmes and you have a veritable psychic.
Just my opinion.
P.S. "What is your name and Birth date" is not enough information to predict your future... they are full of crap!

This one is an easy one. Psyche means soul, those who can see souls are psychics. If you know of anyone who has seen a soul, and I don't mean some foggy semblance of a ghost, please let me know.
A psychic once told me about this uncle of mine who was rich and was going to leave me his fortune; he left it all to his daughter. Either I got a lousy psychic, souls change their minds, or it is all guesswork.
