Most of the controversy concerning the outcome of the 2000 U.S. Presidential election centered around... poor sportsmanship and poor losers.
Please note the number of times the democrats have contested an election until they got THEIR desired results. Last year, the gubernatorial race for the state of Washington. That particular race was won by a republican. That count was contested no less than three times before the democrats were able to find enough votes to swing (steal) the election. And when all was said and done, they had the audacity to tell the republicans, "You lost fair and square. Accept it and move on."
Even in this last election, in the 13th district of Florida, the democrat lost. Guess what folks. She's contesting and demanding a recount. Go figure.
How many republicans have demanded a recount in this last election? OK, in the last two elections? Three elections? I rest my case. But no wait! Even in Mexico, the liberal opponent lost and what did he do? He swore himself in as the people's elected "President."
Did anyone take note that after this last election, the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq and the "President" of Iran both commended the American people for having voted in the democrats? Pretty scary message if you think about it.
Kid, I'm pretty sure that even having read these few facts, you're going to just dismiss me as being another "neocon." So, here it is in a nut shell. Neo meaning new, I'm not new. I'm a dinosaur. I have fought in more declared and undeclared wars than you can possibly imagine. I worked almost directly for your probable last hero Bill Clinton. I probably spent more time standing tall before the Surgeon General for having told the President "no." than anyone else here. I lost a lot of great men in battle and in "training." As a dinosaur, I've been around a very long time. I've witnessed a great deal AND, I can still take a pretty big bite out of someone's @ss. I'm an independent conservative. I don't like playing the "What if" game. You can play it until the cows come home and change nothing. Facts are facts and to ignore or refute them is not only ignorant, it's down right dangerous. My answer to you then is simple. Don't be naive. Grow up and pay attention to your history lessons.
