1.) Got to the hospital 30 mins after water broke..but inly 20 mins before giving birth, so no epidural for me, did not need one fast labor & pretty pain free.
2.)2 pregnancies never felt water break, always a super slow trikle that I saw on my panties, I changed them & checked again in 5 mins. If the spot was there again, headed for the hospital, better to be safe than sorry!

1. Couldnt help with the epidural question I never had one with any of my kids. But with the first 2 I had time if I decided otherwise, couldnt with the 3rd she was delivered by the nurses about 5 min after arriving at the hospital.
2. If and when your water breakes you will know it is like you are wetting your pants, it woke me up out of a dead sleep!!!!
Good luck

i'm only 33 weeks into my second pregnancy but with the first i got to the hospital in plenty of time for an epidural even though i was only in labor for about 4 hours. i chose not to have one though. when my water broke it felt like a huge pop inside, at my cervix, almost like the baby was feet down and just kicked really hard down at it. and then the water started coming out obviously.

My second pregnancy actually had to be induced even though my first one didn't. My water was broekn both times in the hospital. I am assuming it feels the same way if it breaks on its own....a warm gush of fluid. But, I do know you can have just a small leak where it is more like a trickle at first.

I didn't feel my waters break with second child. Gave birth at home (own choice) my midwife said I was to calm to be in labor and was going to leave, my husband asked her to check first! She went out to the car to get some stuff and before she came back in I was ready to push, had no time for pain relief

1. Nope
2. Yes! Felt warm and wet, and quite startling. Not huge amounts. Enough to wake me up though.
