depends on which wifi you mean.

WiFi on the internet? no

WiFi *also* means, in the case of the nintendo DS, that it can communicate wirelessly with another DS - called shortbound wifi or something - in which case, yes, you can play with another person on a DS that is within the DS's wireless range (25-45 ft)
