Sweetie, emancipation, at this point is moot. Meaning it's pointless, you are almost 18.

Your mother putting you down is probably because you have succeeded as a young lady (at your age) where she failed.

She sounds bitter. She has probably been unhappy for so long that she doesn't know how not to be that way.

Just remember NOT to be like her when you start your family. Good luck

If you don't have a child or dependent then it will be hard to get emancipated and plus the gov. wouldn't help you with money because you have no one to care for. Try to stick it out until' April or find a relative who will take you in. If you have graduated from high school you could go ahead and leave but think strongly about what are you going to do when you leave, how will you support yourself, and who will help you with bills, food, rent, cloths, and other necessities. Think strongly about your options. I know it's a pain in the *** now but it will get better trust!

I wish you the best of luck with this.

Emancipation takes a while to process, and you only have, what, four months left? A better answer may be to consider other places you could live. Do you have a relationship with your father? With a grandmother? An aunt? Talk to those you're close to and see where you can take refuge so you don't have to deal with your mother any longer.

You will need a lawyer.
You will also have to show that you are able to completely support yourself economically. (It would be better if you already are)
You can also gain emancipation by showing you have already graduated from high school or you are married.
