Of course it is hon. That's just like on Thanksgiving, I always say, "Happy Turkey Day"
And remember you can always say, "Hey it's Happy Birthday to Jesus Day".
You can say " Happy Santa Day" Etc. If people get offended then let it be. you just have a great Christmas. Sounds to me that you have a happy heart and You can say "Happy Christmas" to me anytime you want. Ha Ha have a good holiday.

I usually say Merry Christmas, because here in the U.S, that's more common and I have become accustomed to it, but if you said Happy Christmas to me, I would give you a big genuine smile and say Happy Christmas to you also. It's not what you say, but rather in the spirit of which it is said. Have a Happy, Merry, Holly Jolly Christmas, and an Exciting and Prosperous New Year! (And I mean every word of that.)

Perfectly acceptable. It's a John Lennon song too....
So this is Christmas, and what have you done
Another year over, and a new one just begun.
And so Happy Christmas, I hope you have fun,
The near and the dear ones, the old and the young.

You probably will want to be careful what you do say to folks you don't know. People are so sue happy. you will want to be careful unless they mention it first to you. Good luck Merry Christmas and God Bless.
