They are doing this intentionally these days. Report them to their menagers and get them fired. This will kill the American economy.

Yes I have noticed. It would be good to tell the store manager that you will not shop there in the future since the service is so lousy. Of course, the managers are only a nano-particle less rude than the other cretins. It's yet another reason why so many shop on the internet, where it's automated and you don't have to interact with stupid, rude people who are paid to avoid the job.

It goes the other way, too, where young competent people are driven out of their minds or beyond their patience by rude, aggressive and untrustworthy "patrons".

Um. They're rude and lazy because customer-service jobs are brain-numbing, pointless, demeaning, and not worth the crap pay. And I would argue that at least part of the reason customer-service workers become rude and lazy is idiotic customers who act like they should be treated like royalty just because they want a soda through the drive-thru.

The only type of unskilled labor available to teenagers nowadays is to sell crap to people or wait tables, both of which involve nasty customers. In spite of whether or not someone is a service employee, he or she is first and foremost a person. I should not have to put up with a customer who refuses to treat me like a person just because I'm getting paid to ring up their junk, but, because I'm a service worker, I have to. I might as well be a robot. There's no one to stand up for the worker.

Customers like you - looking to get an ego boost because of your "money" and acting like you're better than everyone else standing in line with you - are what make service jobs such crap. Managers know your type, and they certainly know when complaints are legitimate and when they're not. Most often they're not.

Due to the fact that there is no discipline. Parents are afraid to spank and the schools, well the kids are not made to obey the teacher and the poor ole teacher cannot discipline cause this could cause her to get in trouble. So the fact is most have been use to doing what ever they want to do and no repercussions

It's called poor parenting. It's called "it takes a village idiot" ruining the country and not enough of us "decent, intelligent with disciplined kids" folks getting anywhere when we bring it to the dumb managers attention. They (managers) do have their hands full but you can always do your part by being a mentor and asking questions just like this one in a public forum. Nice job!!!

Especially in dealing with customers. It's as if the customer is an "inconvenience" to them. If the business owners only knew !!!

If you fire them, all you can do is hire another one like them. That's just today's workforce. Bad parenting, I believe, is to blame.
