I do - because it is true. It is another testament of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of all humankind.

No... and it has been altered over a very brief time... old copies confiscated. Joseph Smith was certifiably insane... his family was know to have practiced incest in his home in Palmyra, NY. I found this out purely bi accident/coincidnece when staying there many years back... the people I met were direct descendants of his neighbors, who kept meticulous journals of the strange goings-on of the Smith family.
FYI - As of the early 1990's "Doctrines and Covenants" the book upon which TBOM is based as well as their faith, has had over 200 alterations made and all older copies confiscated and destroyed. One example was years ago, when I was a kid, Mormons were not allowed to drink Coke until years later, they invested into the Coca-Cola company and all of a sudden, another 'revelation' was written into their book. LOL. Now that all the Mormons hate me for telling you this... an absolute MUST-SEE "The Godmakers" Vol. I & II (which due to overwhelming death threats and enormous LDS money was discontinued), but the book is also still available - the movie is phenomenal. I have a mint copy of each volume if you want me to dub you a DVD. It exposes their religion as the world's largest and most powerful cult, the book, however, is available widely on amazon, I believe.

I do, because I have read through it about 20 times over the past 20 something years (maybe more, lost count). It is an amazing source of spiritual energy. It has been a joy to study it with W. Cleon Skousen's commentaries called "Treasures from the Book of Mormon." This year I decided to actually contact someone Skousen made a reference to, a Jewish professor of archaeology named Joseph Ginad, who helped document the Beith Lehi cave in Israel, where Nephi and his brothers could have stayed, or else somewhere nearby, and I met him from a distance at a Jewish-Mormon event this year in Utah. I also tackled Hugh Nibley's "Lehi in the Desert" this year but haven't finished it yet. I also found out more about the ruins of Lamanai in Belize, and I hope to find more interesting archaeological evidence with more study, as soon as health permits. Together with studying the Bible, reading the Book of Mormon has made me more fond of reading and studying scriptures this year. I've prayed about it before, but it's rewarding to keep finding new insights when I slow down to re-read it again.

I've not read the Book of Mormons, but from what I've heard and seen in movies: "Angels in America", "Latter Days", "The Best Two Years", I have to say that I'm not convinced in its teachings especially since it condemns homosexuality. But I think that the Mormon "elders" are very determined to spread the word, and I admire them for that.
