I'm not sure about British law, but in the States, it would show up on the credit report of whoever declared bankruptcy. This would also include the spouse too, especially if both file their taxes jointly. BTW, seeing your photo reminded me that I haven't seen Danger Mouse for some 22 years now. Well, bollux. It looks like someone gave me a thumbs down.

A "black list" refers to a listing of people / things that the person creating the list prefers to consider BAD. The origin of the phrase began back in America's COLE MINING era, when a cole miner would emerge from the dirty soot-laiden conditions with a list (written) paper stating that he had found GOLD in the mine, when all he did actually find was more soot (hence; BLACK.)

It is a term where you are on a list sort of a secret list where you are not allowed in. Could be a movie star not being allowed to work or a person entering a casino. It has the same meaning as blackballed.

I think you mean her "sh*t list". It is a term defined by African Americans, and myself being one. As the list where there is basically no point of return. Its the list of people that she wont put up with.

If you are blacklisted, you are no longer allowed to visit that place or use that service. It is used in such context as "Uppity restaurant blacklisted Jessica Simpson and her family because her father was too rowdy when he visited." or "I am on Dell's blacklist because I've bought too many computers with coupon stacking."
