Because when a person does this, they are looking through victims glasses. They rather play the victim than take accountability for their actions. These are very immature people.

Don't U Know It Is The Human Nature. We Do A Mistake And We Are Not Ready To Accept That We Have Done It Only Because We Thought That We Could Not Be Wrong In Any Manner That"s Why We Blame Others.

Pointing out mistakes may not be "blaming" but just "feedback". If the person committing the mistake knew it was a mistake he would have most likely not done it. Also, "feedback" will help the person avoid future mistakes. In this respect being "told" what went wrong though bitter may be useful if positively incorporated into ones life experience.
On the other hand there may be perpetual "blamers" who like to blame others for their misdeeds and take credit when things go well. With time you should be able to set them apart and treat their feedback accordingly.
People will react any way they want it is best for you to modify your outlook on feedback and recognising it as such.

People are not without you. The word 'people' includes you. Blaming others for our mistakes is a natural phenomenon that we find in every human being. It is human weakness. We all think that we are always correct. We are over- confident about ourselves. Most of the times, we think that what we speak correct and what we do is correct. When we are grown up with this mental attitude, we become experts in finding fault with others though they are right. We never try to get this attitude corrected. The root cause of many a problem lies in this weakness.

There are a lot of 'self' (feeling of 'I') in every being, which is the secret of the movement of the universe and the life on universe which we see. In fact we are not aware about something that are beyond our senses. As such there are a lot of secrets behind the universe which man is always talking and thinking. Blaming others is a secret of one's Self-importance. Like the story of 'Pandora's Box', we think that we are perfect. THE LAW IS THAT "BEAUTY IS FOR /WITH ONESELF AND HAPPINESS IS FOR/WITH OTHERS" means we think we are beautiful, may be most, but not ugly AND he or she is well-settled with enough wealth and happiness. Since we are not satisfied and our needs are increasing for pleasure is behind this. Like-wise, when we are envy for not having enough, we blame those who have it (also a blind-belief). One who is well-dressed is not rich. All glitters are not gold. God has given us what we do deserve and we must be content of it without coveting to possess others's belonging as everyghing is the belonging of God and he distributes - pass on - The total production or mass of the world (universe) remain as samd at all times. It is not going to increase or decrease but transforms.

Because we are not humble enough to admit our mistakes. It takes a person of strength to accept mistakes.
