You must go to your closet and/or bathroom and cover all exposed parts of your bosy and stay away from windows and at best, avoid flying/faliing debris.

Explain to them it's too dangerous to stay in a Mobile Home during a severe thunderstorm and the family must go to a shelter.

I live in a trailer,
a thunderstorm is not much mostly sound.
but if there is high winds, or heavy rain,
then you may be looking at a problem.
bare in mind, they may have lived longer than you, and are aware what is a serious threat and what isn't.
