Acre (measurement), a traditional English land measure equal to 0.4 hectares, or 4,047 square meters (43,560 square feet). Originally meaning a field, it was the area that a pair of oxen could plow in a day. By the late 1200s, English law standardized the acre for official use, although local variations in Ireland, Scotland, and some English counties continued.

Do you mean "square feet"? Inches and feet measure distance (between two points). An acre is a measure of area (like the size of a wall, or field)
