Most counties have self-help centers in their courthouses. There usually is one specifically for Family Court. Many counties also have volunteer lawyers that will answer questions. If your income is low enough you might qualify for Legal Aid. Call your county bar association and ask for the number for Legal Aid and schedule an intake.
