It would not expose Bush for anything. All it would do is tie up the government for the rest of his term then absolutely nothing would get done. At least if he is left alone we have a chance of some things getting done in this country. Also even if he were to be impeached he would remain in office. Clinton was impeached to remember. If he were to be kicked out of office, Cheney would become president and then things would get even worse. Best bet for you Bush bashers is to wait it out and elect someone who will serve you better. Too all his supporters, all I can say is good luck in '08. My guess is we will not see another Republican.

because if we don't it allows future presidents to break the law with virtual impunity, as long as they don't do things with a consenting intern. Precedent can be very powerful.

While I agree that it would take up time and energy that could be spend fixing other things, It still needs to be done. They should do what the 76th congress did in 1940-41: meet year round do do what needs to be done.

I don't think impeachment would be a good thing, but it may be a necessary thing. I think that President Bush is mentally ill.

I think the Democrats will try to avoid impeaching the President. Politically, he's very weak at this point, and has very few options. As long as he doesn't do anything worse than he's done, I think the Democrats will just let him hang out to dry, and with each passing day, the Republican party will get weaker. If the President would actually do something extremely stupid, such as declare war on Iran, or North Korea, I think there's the possibility that there would be a coup d' tat or the military would just refuse to act.

Because it would be the RIGHT thing!!!

Someone had foreknowledge of the attacks. In the weeks leading up to 9/11 someone made a series of investments that would have paid off in huge profits because of the attacks. This is well documented and undisputed. This person specifically invested in the two airliners used in the attacks, anticipating windfall profits from any drop in the stock prices of these companies. This is solid evidence that at least one person in the United States had detailed information that something bad was going to happen to the specific airlines that were to be used in the attack.

We have been told that the person who made these investments never claimed the profits. We are expected to believe that this explains why his or her identity is unavailable. This is absolutely untrue. This is not an instance in which someone was waiting to pick up a package at an airport locker. This is a case of a financial institution processing an investment transaction for an individual. This CAN NOT BE PERFORMED ANONYMOUSLY! The identity of this person who had foreknowledge of the attack is know and this person’s identity is being protected by our government and this is a fact! Period, end of story.

WHO MADE THE INVESTMENT? Identify this person and you have someone who very probably had detailed foreknowledge of the events. The fact that the profits were never collected is even more suspicious and incriminating. The fact that the identity of this person remains unknown is even more suspicious. The only possible conclusion is that this person is known to the government and that his or her identity is being protected.

There has been a clear and concerted cover up regarding the person who tried to profit from events he or she knew were coming. The people who could easily clear this up, but who chose to close any further investigation into the matter are not underlings. They are officials who answer directly to the President of the United States.

If Bush were impeached for the crimes he's committed, he wouldn't be alone in going down. If a full investigation were undertaken, most of the administration would be thrown in jail and the keys fired off into the Sun. The electoral system, as it stands today, is rigged for Republocrats/Demicans. We're not under a two-party democracy, this is a single-party dictatorship in sheep's clothing..

#1 Bush should not only be impeached but arrested along with Cheney for the murder of all our soldiers in the middle east for his blatent violations of the Geneva Convention by using depleted uranium missiles and bullets against the Iraqi people and causing harm to them and our troops. #2 Cheney should be imprisioned for lying about the CFR membership he holds and has held and kept that info from the American people. #3 Bush should be arrested for giving away our country to the North American Treaty combining Canada, Mexico and the United states as one country. We are no longer a republic or sovereign country thanks to him . #4 Bush should be arrested creating the patriot act that makes all us land owners, christians, homeschoolers, constitutionalists, and freedom lovers the terrorists. #5 Cheney should be arrested for the Haliburton mess in Iraq paying them all that money for water for the troops and the Haliburton spent it one new hummers, surbans, navigators, motels for them etc. and gave our troops contaminated drinking water and shower water infecting all that are exposed to it and/ or drinking it. All with the approval of Bush and Cheney. All these men are ruined for life because of the water and depleted uranium used in ballistics. There are many more reasons as discussed on www.infowars.com, www.powerhour.com and Freedom to facism by Aaron Russo DVD availiable thereto.

Justice should be served. Bush, Cheney, the whole lot of criminals in this administration, should be not only impeached, but also prosecuted for the many laws they have broken.

The cry for impeachment for President Bush is nothing more than an attempt at avenging the supposed wrong that was done to the "honorable" Bill Clinton. The left is soooooo convinced that Clintonista was wronged that they will, willingly, sacrifice America's security, and standing in the world to sabotage the work of Mr Bush. It's stupid,it's dangerous, it's wrong.

the only way I think they are even going to try... is if Abramoff spills some very interesting/damaging beans...

which who really knows... it's like political Russian roulette with him up there... who knows who he is going to take down...

but I don't see anything happening for sure in the next two years, as those things take years to develop and pan out... just me...

so I don't see any proceedings...

agree that impeachment would be a waste of resources. However, he is a loose cannon, and it may be necessary if he keeps ignoring the Constitution.
