I think public displays of affection are okay as long as the ones doing it don't get too carried away.

There are a couple of teenagers that I work with, and they are constantly making out, groping each other, kissing, etc. They even do it in front of the customers (I work at a restaurant - no one wants to see that while they're eating). I think it's very unprofessional and pretty annoying for everyone around them. I also found pictures of them on the work computer - nothing raunchy but there were tons of them. Totally inappropriate.

It's fine with me but I find it weird when there is a threesome going on right out in public. Call me old fashioned but how many of us want our kids to see that? I will try to keep an open mind as long as I get to continue kissing my dog in the car. If I get to kiss baby dog, then people can continue to grind each other to their heart's content.

Just the basics- Hand holding, and light kisses to say thank you, hugging to a small degree can work also.
Noone has to notice the "accidental" bumping into each other and the slipping of the hand.

I think its great in moderation. When my boyfriend and I are having a great time shopping I can't help but show a little physical attention. I would never take it to the extent that parents would need to cover their children's eyes though!

as long as it isn't something "over the top", I think it sends a message to society that it's OK to love and respect someone - I think we all need to be reminded that it's OK to care about others

Holding hands, an arm around my shoulder, or holding on to my friend's arm is fine but more than that could be annoying to look at.
