I would get a 360. The thing is if you are a lover of shooting games, then you should deffinetely get it because Halo 3 will be coming out. Also the ps3 is 200 dollars more and since they put the power core inside of it, it will burn out faster. They say you can only have your ps3 on for 4 hours before it will start burning out. For the 360, it is like 8 hours.

Right now, if you were wanting to buy a console that is available everywhere. I would have to say a PS2. It has the largest catalog of titles, you can find a used one pretty cheap at a pawn shop or EB Games, there are a ton of controllers for it for shooting, driving games etc, the games are getting cheaper, especially the used ones, and they are still releasing new games for it even though the PS3 is now out. Yes, Xbox and Xbox 360 have a little better graphics, but really, its the gameplay not the eye candy that keeps a person playing a certain game right? Later on, maybe next year when there are more consoles available and the price comes down a bit a different console will be a better buy but right now the PS2 is still king.

The Xbox 360 without a doubt. It's less expensive than the PS3, Xbox live is great, graphics to die for and lot of killer games. What more can you ask for ?

I would say the 360. Especially right now, it's available, most bugs are worked out, and a ton of games are out. Not to mention xbox live can't be beat! :)
