YES> I let is mess up many years of my life. It was a bad time, but it was my career and I had few choices so I stuck around. It paid off, I and my husband retired very young and living on more income than while we worked. Only in America!!
When I think back on that dark period, it seems so worth it.....travel, stay up all night, sleep all day, spend time with family, do whatever we want, whenever we want. Sometimes hard work pays off.
