1 ounce (oz.) = 28 grams (g)
next biggest is pound..
1 pound (lb)= 16 ounces (oz) = 448 grams (g)

There are approx 28 grams in one ounce so grams is the smaller unit. However, something measured in grams can be bigger than something measured in ounces. for example, 100 gm of water is bigger than 1 oz of water. And a gram of a very light material can be bigger, that is, take up more volume, than an ounce of a very dense material.

Ounces are bigger than grams. Just look on any cereal box, which give weight in both. An ounce is about 28.3 grams.
The next weight up would be a pound, which is 16 ounces.

Ounces are bigger than grams but I can't say which one would be next up because grams is in metric and ounces are in standard.
