For a pregnancy test that is. I see these things at the DollarTree these days. Yet I see so many questions being posted "am I pregnant"
In my day we had to steal them from the gocery store cause they were like 12 bucks.
But a buck...is a buck too much?

I just found out that the Dollar Store tests have the same detection sensitivity of brands such as CVS, ClearBlue, EPT, ProofPositive and Walmart.
Walgreens seems to suck the most!

Hmm when did this become a debate on which pregnancy test is the best?
Maybe I need another question :)

I've heard that those dollar store tests are really good at detecting pregnancy as well as being cheap.

I don't understand why someone would post intimate details of their monthly cycle and not just buy a test. It will tell you if your pregnant or not...

It gest annoying. Which is why I don't come here often anymore. I understand that want for a child, we waited three years to get pregnant with our first. But, posting your cycle details here isn't going to make you pregnant...

A pregnancy test is a pregnancy test. The one dollar ones may not be as sensitive as some tests in detecting pregnancy a few days before your missed period, but it should still be highly accurate.

I have used the dollar store test and they do have accurate results..They may not be as sensitive as the clear blue ,EPT, and other ones but they do work..Both times I have taken them after about a week after my missed period..

i agree! Althouggh i wouldnt really trust the dollar test. However if these people cant afford a pregnancy test even if it is 15 dollars how are they going to have a kid?

I don't think it's just that. A lot of girls are too scared or too lazy to take a test. You can go to planned parenthood and get one for free. Hell my OB/GYN didn't charge for the test; he just charged you the time you were in his care but didn't make anyone pay a dime for the test.

Well, then there are the people like me who check the damn pee stick every time they're 30 minutes late...lol. I've asked these kinds of questions on here because I want to know if my worries are even validated. Because most of the time I'm just paranoid.

Good point! For that matter, go to your local pregnancy care center or something like it and get a FREE test! :o)

I would never trust one. You get what you pay for right? If you get what you pay for then no way! There is a reason clinics offer free tests. If you can't afford a reliable pregnancy test then don't have sex!

I've got to say that I wouldn't trust a one-dollar pregnancy test any further than I could throw it.

well if you don't trust the dollar tree then you should try buying a bunch of them at once to see the effectiveness....if the readings vary then that would mean they aren't reliable and that you should go with name brands
