If you've been doing this for a while, then it could take weeks, but if this is [one of] the first time[s] you've done it, then it shouldn't take too long for the hairs to start growing back long enough for it to not be as noticable. Just don't touch the tweezers until then, becauase the more you pluck them, the more you will get hairs where you don't want them, and none where you do. In the meantime, get a good eyebrow pencil and LIGHTLY shade in where the hair is missing. This can be very tricky, so I would suggest going to a department store (Macys or Nordstroms is good) and getting a free makeover (this is a lot of fun too, and If you can get one before going out somewhere nice, even better) and telling them that the salon overplucked your eyebrows and ask if they can do something about it. When they do, you can ask what they did, and then you're good to go. Good luck :]

First of all, let her know you are unhappy. She may be able to make it up to you, and hopefully will learn from this and be more careful next time. Dont worry. If shes a good esthetician, it WONT hurt her feelings and she WONT be offended. She will be grateful for your input.
It will take as long as it usualy does for them to grow back after a wax (2-8 weeks). If the wax was overly hot, or if you have been doing this a while, the follicles could be damamged and a few may not come back at all.
Edit to add:
I have to disagree with the cosmetologist Lacy below. While following the natural brow shape is a good idea for do it yourselfers, an experienced aesthetician can take almost any brow of any shape and turn it into something that beautifuly frames your face. This may or may not be follwing the natural arch. Also, while do it yourselfers may not want to try plucking from on top, it is the norm for an aesthetician to take from the top. In fact, this is sometimes absolutely necessary to achieve the proper look for your face shape and features. Also, while waxing from the width of the nose is flattering to those with wide noses, most people do not need to wax past the innermost corner (tear duct) of the eye.
This is also a good time to add that in most cases, one should seek out a licensed aesthetician to wax their brows. I do not disagree that many cosmetologists are qualified and do a good job at face waxing, the truth is that an aesthetician should be your first choice. While a cosmetologist it technicaly licensed to do waxing, they have not had the extensive training nor experience in this area that an aesthetician has. Cosmetologist are trained most extensively in hair (on your head). In many states the aesthetics part of a cosmetologist course is only two weeks, compared to six months or longer for an aesthetican.

The hairs should grow back to their normal length in about three weeks. Don't worry-they will grow back! I pluck my eyebrows every ten days, and by the time the ten days is up they are already visislbe but not as long as they were before I plucked them Because it takes About 3 or 4 weeks for them to grow back completely. Meanwhile, just use an eyebrow pencil to gently shade in some color so it won't be as noticable

I accidently shaved part of my eyebrow off once and had to use eyeliner to fill in the gap, my eyebrows took a little more than a week to grow back, but some peoples hair grows faster than others. all i can tell u iz 2 not let everyone know your stressin over it and they won't notice it, that will give time for them to grow back and no 1 will ever notice. you can laugh about it later on. (after you fuss out the salon)lol

I am a licensed cosmetologist. The length of time for your brows to grow back depends on the indivual, some indivuals grow faster than othes. It will be best to go to a trusted stylist, the next time and be sure to tell her or him how you want your brows to look. It is best to follow the natural line and only remove the lower hairs, NEVER FROM THE TOP !!; unless you have unrully ones, and clean up the area between the eyes. You should make sure that the stylist starts, by measuring the line form the side of the nose to the inside of your brow and clean up NO futher than that line! YOU MAY PLUCK THE STRAYS UNTIL YOU HAVE THE CLEAN LINE THAT YOU WANT. Your NATURAL ARCH LINE, should be followed, always!!!

first, they will grow back on their own. give it a few weeks. I have mine done every three weeks and the hair always grows back. but this is going to sound very crazy, but depending on how badly it was plucked, I heard on the tyra banks show when the editor of allure magazine was on, to use a very tiny a mount of rogaine the stuff you use for hair on your head. they had these two ladies on the show who had plucked their eyebrows way too severely for a long period of time. So allure lady told them to use a Q-tip to apply very controlled tiny amount of rogaine and hair would come back.
but seriously do not stress. just don't pluck for a while.

Go back to the salon and complain. Then go to the store and get an eyebrow pencil. You can use it to fill in your brows and it really can make it look natural

ok. dont panic, hair grows back!!!
but if you want it to grow back faster, just get some vaseline and put it on the end of a cotton bud and where you need it. do it over night so it doesnt go everywhere if you prefer that!
just be careful with it, you dont want hair growing back everywhere and next time you get them plucked again, explain how you want them!!

Draw them in lightly with a brow pencil.....Maybelline brow liner in medium or light brown. They also have the powder brow liner that goes on lighter.
