I am making soup right now and I am drinking lots of liquids.

I'm just about over a cold. It lasted about a week, though symptoms were only severe for about 3 of the days. Here's what I did. I used a humidifier to add moisture to the air. This helped me breathe better and got rid of the sore throat. I also drank lots of cold water and hot tea. Chicken soup is very good too and I see you are planning to eat some, which is very good.

Take vitamin C and zinc too, as that will help your immune system fight the virus. Hopefully you will feel better by Christmas.

Well this might sound wierd but it always works for me. Take a pot and put some water in it. Then add fresh lemon juice like 3-4 lemons , put some cinnamons sticks in. A little bit of sugar and brown sugar and stir all of this with a peppermint stick drink this about 2-3 times a day hot and it should go away faster

there is no miracle "one cure it all"-- that is number one. number two forget the rush and the fact that you want to be "ok" by certain day/date, that is putting stress on your system. number three, rest, rest and more rest. also you were given some good "non medicine" advice -- I would do those --plus, a warm bath in the bathtube-- provided your home is very warm when you come out -- will get all the toxine out. buy yourself "tiger, made in china" and rub your chest and your back it helps. sleep, sleep and more sleep. give us the good news thereafter. hope it helps.

I suggest take vitamin C 500mg., about 2xaday and claritin tablet too!, cuz colds now a days caused by allergy too!. Get well soon.
