What can be used to clean off pewter figurines besides just blowing them with air?

Mine have been sitting for quite sometime and have an extremely thick layer of dust.I blew them off with a air hose but there is still some dust lingering.

wash them under a warm running faucet, using a toothbrush.

I have heard but have never done it. Put your figurines one at a time in a bag with alot of salt in it and shake. I have heard it works. Let me know if it does okay!

Should be able to soak in warm soapy water .Then blow dry.
