Liberals try to stop free speech because they know that the better educated people become, the less likely they are to be liberal.

people who claim to be open-minded sometimes hate free speech and go to great lenghts to censure it. In my town, I frequently get flyers for pizza and dry cleaning and fitness centers that I did not solicite. No one ever complains. Then some people near me (a diverse group, no type targeted), including myself received KKK flyers in plastic bags in our driveways and newspaper boxes. It made the news and people were outraged. I don't agree with the KKK, but I do believe in their right to free speech.

Because they are afraid that voices contrary to their opinion might win out. There are these on both ends of the political spectrum and they don't believe in our govt. system or in free speech.

I dont think they technically do. A hate-monger is someone who sells hate, i mean defintion and all, just as a whore-monger is someone who sells whores, and a fish-monger is someone who sells fish. its amazing what you learn in church

I'm not sure to whom you are referring, but I'd say anyone who promotes hate would try to supress the opinions of others because their ideas are more universally accepted.
