You're limited to a few different antibiotics, but don't worry - there is something that you can take! If it's the flu though, there's really nothing you can take for that. Flu's are mainly caused by a virus and you just have to let it run it's course. Unfortunately, there aren't many OTC meds that you can take while pregnant. Check with your doctor if you get to feeling bad. Otherwise, don't stress over it! You may get lucky and not even catch it! Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

If you get sick it is important to treat an infection for the infection can be more harmful than the antibiotics. Anitbiotics are only used when clearly needed they are in Category B for safety for use in pregnancy meaning that there is no known effects but if the benefits outweigh the risk then it should be fine. Certain antibiotics are unsafe but antibiotics such as amoxicillin is fine. Be sure to see your dr if needed.

There are some antibiotics that you can take, and I'm sure your doctor will be able to point them out to you. However, I would suggest doing your own reading up on whatever he/she may recommend, just so that you're completely aware of the effects...doctors don't know everything, and don't always tell you everything either, whether they think you won't understand, or they just don't have time. It's always wise to read from several different sources. Good luck, and drink tons of water! That will help flush your system.

If it's the flu, then antibiotics won't help. But in the event you need antibiotics for some other reason, the dr will take good care of you. They won't perscribe anything that will be harmful to you and the baby.
Don't fret too much!!

If it is the flu, it is caused by a virus and antibiotics will do nothing for it. You need to check with your doctor about what you can take for the relief of symptoms if you also catch it. A lot of the medication for the relief of flu symptoms cannot be used during pregnancy.

Of course. But like all other acne treatments (and general face products), it differs from person to person. I've tried two prescriptions from my doctor, and neither worked for me. Salicylic acid doesn't work either. You can ask for samples or get a one month prescription to see how it works, but just because it is from a doctor/dermatologist does NOT guarantee that it will work. Chances are, the acne fighting ingredients in most drug store brands just don't work for your skin. Otherwise, they are too drying, thus making issues worse. If I use anything super drying, it tends to worsen my acne as opposed to make it better, so perhaps you simply need to stop using acne products, or only use a spot treatment and use hydrating/normal cleansers, scrubs and moisturizers.

YES. There are some antibiotics that you can take while pregnant that do not affect the baby. Do your best to stay healthy, but do not worry if you get sick.

I have two two children and when I was pregnant with the second, I had to take amoxicillian for a bladder infection. They put drugs in classes while you are pregnant and amoxicillian is one of the few approved for pregnancy without risk of crossing the placenta and affecting the baby. Relax, take your vitamins and get your rest. Happy holidays

Just be sure to wash your hands frequently.
IF and WHEN you get sick...depending on the type of illness, viral or bacterial...your doctor will prescribe the proper medication ...if needed. Some illness is better left untouched dand left to run its course
