I am permanently tired but I have noticed when I have my period it is worse.

A little bit, but not as bad as you describe. Maybe it's making you a bit anemic. Are the periods heavy? If so, you might want to try some sort of iron supplement and mention it to the GYN.
Are you tired at other times? Do you have symotoms like dry skin, dry thining hair, brittle fingernails, constipation, weight gain. These symptoms along with feeling extremely tired are symptoms of a thyroid problem. If you have any of these get a morning thyroid test.

Yes this happens and you should make sure you are taking a multi vitamin and increase your iron and calcium during your period not to mention B vitamins for the crappy mood swings.

feeling tired and week is a bit normal but the things you are experiencing is not normal so why dont you visit your ob-gyne for some consultation who knows maybe there are some worst things to be consider don't take it for granted.

you could have an iron issue. do you have a really heavy period? this could cause you to feel tired because you lose too much iron or blood. see you gyn.
