Several people I know, including myself are planning to start making candles and selling them. When using parafin was, to be specific, container wax with vybar added, what are the steps to makeing candles. I know you melt the wax and add your scents, but then, is there a certain way you must pour them or can you just pour it into your container. Thanks

This is the best site I know with full instructions, pictures etc. for making candles, and container candles of course:

It is rather easy to make container candles. You melt the wax, add any colors, fragrance oils, etc. and pour into your pre-wicked container. Wait to cool and enjoy!

The trick is to know what wax to use, which temp to pour in, how much fragrance to use, some waxes need 2 pours, some just one, etc.

Here is a fun and unique candle I learned to make in the Girl Scouts. Cut the top portion off of a 1 quart or 1/2 gallon paper milk carton and fill with crushed ice and insert a taper candle in the center, making sure it is standing straight. Sprinkle glitter over the ice. Next, pour the melted wax into the carton ( cool the wax to 170 degrees before pouring )and as the ice melts add more ice and pour more wax over it to keep the wax level with the top of the carton. When the wax has completely hardened, tear off the paper carton and trim the top of the taper so it is level with the rest of the candle. Every candle will be unique. You can also add some color by swirling crayon shavings into the wax before pouring.
