there is a way. but it's a bit tricky
first. you have to have some kind of DVD to iPod converter. I recommend (either buying or do a free trial of) InterVideo's iVideoToGo [[ download here http://www.intervideo.com/ivideotogo... ]] i have used this many times and its very reliable. But on the free trial tho, it takes a while to convert a hour and half long movie (longer, if the movie is like lord of the rings: return of the king). it took me about a couple hours to convert harry potter and the goblet of fire; and it sometimes freezes the computer. all you have to do is just do control+alt+delete and it'll unfreeze. there's also other good converters out there, but this particular converts the whole movie without any watermarks.

second. if you get a converter, the video file has to be an Mpeg-4 file. ( you can read about this under the ipod section on apple.com/ipod under tech specs. )
by the way, to use the iVideoToGo, it only takes 3 easy steps: 1. find the source of the movie file 2. browse for a target folder for the converted file to go to and 3. convert
you can read about this converter at the url site i gave you

third. once you've converted the file to an mpeg4 file, then you put it in a folder where it can easily found. go to your iTunes, go to file > import file > browse folder > then locate the file > select it > then press ok to import. this movie file should be in the movies section of your iTunes library.

and that's it! you've got a movie on your iPod. enjoy!

the nano is smaller and, as you noted, very beautiful. it is likewise flash based, which will make it somewhat greater good as there's no hard rigidity to positioned on out (no shifting areas). in spite of the shown fact that, basically as interior the older ipod mini, you pay lots greater $ consistent with gb; in spite of the reality that the video function isn't all that useful, you will spend much less time futzing which incorporate your library (handbook updates, etc) with the bigger capacity of the 30 gig. How vast is your library?... in view that greater 24 gig is ineffective in case you dont choose it. I even have 60gb video, yet i gotta permit you already know- the assumption of "sporting around your dvd library" and connecting it to a much bigger video demonstrate is crap, basically through fact the low res ipod video format appears like crap whilst considered on a "established" length demonstrate screen. p.s there's a 6gb nano interior the works, if no longer already on the industry; it quite relies upon on what you opt to do with it, and for the money i think of the 30gb video is a greater suitable fee (in spite of the reality that larger and heavier).
