I think a good gift is a gift card for there favorite store

If you mean what gift can you give your best friends parents' for christmas. I would suggest something that would benefit the both of them. Say a gift card to a nice restaurant, " dinner for two" style. Or tickets to the movies, or better yet it is easy for me to sit hear and tell you what I think you should get them, but honestly I have to say you know them,and we the people of the internet world dont, so get them something from the heart. Something you know they will enjoy! :)

Gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.
Coupons you make to perform services for them (washing their car, cutting the grass, running an errand, cooking dinner one night, etc.)
A Christmas tablecloth they can use for years to come.
Organize some family photos into a collage or multi-section frames.
A new comforter for their bed (make sure it matches room).
Nice set of towels.

This one is tough. I would want something useful and unisex. If you are going there on Christmas bring cookies and a present. For a joint present why don't you purchase tickets to a play or tickets to a movie?
