Everyone who plays the game wins something AND they each also get paid extra for coming back for the reunion show.
You're right - second place does win $100,000 and third place wins $85,000.

Second place has traditionally been paid $100,000. Big brother gets $50,000 and The Amazing race keeps the prize money a secret but it is prorated based on time in the game.

You are right the 2nd place person gets $100K. Everybody on the show gets paid based on how long they are on the show. So the first evicted person gets less than the 5th person evicted.
