A 16 year affair that continues after she is married and he has no qualms about it. Then neither does she. How do they sleep at night??

They are mild sociopaths. This means they can break society's rules and they feel absolutely no guilt or remorse whatsoever.
This is why it is so difficult for cheaters to stop cheating. They just don't give a flying f*ck about you or your hurt feelings or what is right or the consequences.
Hence, they can sleep like drunks every night, free of cares and remorse and guilt. Those f*ckers.

They are used to it. Guilt goes away over time when you keep doing something which is wrong, and that doesn't pertain to just cheating. People do things wrong in their lives all the time and they don't feel guilty until until they are stone cold busted.

Because some people are just "empty" inside. As long as it feels good to THEM, screw everybody else's feelings. They are "anti-social" and play by their own rules. That's how they can sleep at night ...no values to bother them with pesky guilt of USING other people.

Obviously very well, since they are getting laid and are calm and satisfied. The righteous path does not always lead to where you think it should, and honestly, it takes all kinds. The real question is, what's it too you? If they can live with themselves, let them be. If you are involved with one of them and you cannot take the deceit, just cut all ties and move on to your comfort zone, where you can badmouth them in good health with other law abiding church going citizens.

if you were a good person...you wouldnt be able to sleep at night..however if you were a good person you wouldnt do something so nasty and mean in the first place.
