What do you folks think? I have pretty much just sent e-cards this holiday. I am doing this mainly to conserve on paper. Looking back on it now, I probably should have put in a line saying that I am sending an e-card to conserve paper, but I did not think of it until now.

Do you folks think I will come across as cheap or is it mainly the thought that will count?

You may look cheap but who cares. You did a good thing. The first year I was married between announcements, invites, greeting cards, and postage I spent over $600. After that I never sent out another card. I call everyone. And then send $500 a year to a charity. We do not have a lot of money so $500 is a lot for us. My family loves the idea and my husbands family think I am cheap. I don't care though I have given over $5000 to charity since I have been married.

Honestly....personally I would prefer to receive a paper card for Christmas. It just makes it a little extra special. But, it really is the thought that counts. I wouldn't think anyone was cheap for sending an e-card. I'd be glad they thought of me at all.

There are few people keeping their post cards in paper...
It´s better if you send a e-card with a very nice thought (as someone already say here)

it relatively is a very good factor, approximately e-taking part in cards being greater suitable for our environment! That reported, i think of that the guy to whom you're sending the cardboard can dictate the style. to illustrate, if I sent my grandfather an e-card, he does not make an effort to verify a thank you to receive it... many people nonetheless do no longer use e mail lots, as hard because it relatively is for many folk to have faith! Even my mom does not opt to ought to click on a link, verify in, blah, blah.... additionally, i've got faith like somebody whom i for my area care approximately, close pals and family members, deserve the attempt and time that a paper card in the process the mail demands. yet a lot of my pals may be basically as happy with an e-card or maybe an e mail, basically something to assert, "i replaced into questioning approximately you."

E-cards for sure. Millions of trees get cut down each year to make those cheap little cards you throw in the trash after New Years.

Ecards if you can't find any cards made in this country or you can't make them yourself.
