I am a negative person by nature... and my humor is sarcastic so I naturally go towards the negative thought of every situation. How can i train that "positivity muscle"? How do I put positivity into practice?

It is very easy

You will have to look for people with a good heart, they will help you.

1. If you see a glass water, do you see it half full or half empty
You will try to see it half full, it means you appreciate what you have.

If you see it half empty, you don´t appreciate what you have.

OK.

Give yourself a treat

1. Be in contact with nature, go camping, do the things you like.
2. Meditate about what you have, you must have a lot of good things in you.
3. If you go to psychologist it might help, she might give you antidepressant pills
4. Don´t compare yourself to others, that will bring you down
5. You don´t have to be perfect, it is normal to make mistakes all the time, we are humans.
6. (Look for a good soul), it means try gathering with people that have a nice heart, they will show you the way.
7. Look to your circle of friends they influence the way you are
8. A lots of things can affect your mood, the place you work, your coo-workers, ( you could take some plants to your work place)
9. Maybe you are with someone who makes you sufer, you might dump him.
10. The easier way to be happy, bear this in mind, in some countries people don´t have money to eat, you must have much more than that.
11. Go to the gym, sing, play pool, go diving or skydiving,
12. Get a book and write there all the good things you have done, and keep it to yourself.
13. Speak to someone you trust and you know it is there for you.
14. Travel , travel, travel, travel, travel, go to lots of different places.
15. Make changes in your life

Hey BerryBerry--
What's the deal here ??
Stop thinking about yourself---think of everythng else
You see--if you're a negative thinker--first off---the world is in serious need of negative thinkers--otherwise it would be a total washout of Oprah loving--tip toe through the daisies--touchy feely ---air headed warm and fuzzies--------what the hell ?? There is far too much garbage going on to let it all get swept under some rug in some diddly do daa day ---look the other way --Tony Robbins---ain't the whole thing grand kinda crap !!!!!!

If you're a negative thinker---the last thing in the world you want to start doing is start thinking about yourself !!! No wonder you're feeling so bad----stop thinking about yourself and the whole thing gets better for you !!! Like I said---think of everything else---you're just fine !!!

As for myself---give me a great big dose of genuine hardcore sarcastic outlook on reality anyday as opposed to all of this junk of Martha Stewart worshipping---Coomba Ya singing---- Richard Simmons hopping---Sesame Street watching bubble brained Zippadeedoda's !!!

The world needs YOU for balance---don't throw it all out of whack by joining the other team here---we all will be extremely sorry for that in no time at all !!!! And, once again---you're just fine----it's all that other stuff that's out of joint !!!!!

Start your day by giving thanks. Right after you wake up think about what you have in your life to be thankful for. Maybe, its the fact that you can go on the internet and ask this question while alot of people don't even have access to one. Maintain this "attitude of gratitude" and it will help you focus on the positives. Start with your thoughts, catch yourself everytime these statements run through your mind; "I can't..., I don't.., I need to..." and replace them with possitive affirmations of; "I can...., I'm able..., I am....". You basically have to reprogram your way of thinking. Programming creates beliefs, beliefs create attitudes, attitudes create feelings. A wise person said, "What you THINK about and THANK about, YOU bring about." So, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

That's what paxil does.

Okay, for a serious answer try to help people with their problems. Suggest solutions instead of giving sarcasm. Doing this both trains your positivity muscle and puts positivity into practice.
I would say volunteer but even i don't do that...yet.

well, thoughts come and go sometimes without being able to control them. but if you control where those thoughts go and what you do with them, then that's how you practice positivity. it's hard. ohhh yeahhh it's REALLY hard but it becomes easier and easier with practice, like everything else in life. =)

This is tough. Remember that what we think, is what we are. If you can catch yourself during a negative thought and immediately think a positive thought ...it takes time and it is very hard....Never give up.

Start out by thinking before you do anything.
When your thinking, if your thinking is naturally negative, then think of the opposite of what you think of.

Positivity is something every person has inside.
Some plainly just dont show it.

Just by asking that question shows that you are changing from negative to positive.

It's quite simple. Whatever we concentrate on grows. If we concentrate on negatives they grow. SO IF WE CONCENTRATE ONLY ON POSITIVES THEY WILL GROW. Try it and see.

All the best.
