ridiculous. how old will you be in 3 or 4 years if you don't go to college? The same age you would be if you did. So make the time count.

Go to school. It will not be the perfectly traditional experience, but it will be a wonderful experience just the same. As for employment with a felony, it is possible, but you will need to be even better than the average Joe in order to get a job and keep it. And keep in mind that many, if not most, college grads without felonies on their records wind up disappointed with the job market they find when they graduate, so you'll have plenty of company there.

That's the beauty of college, there are two main points:learning and partying. No one really cares about how old you are. Also you're now of a legal age to drink that will make you more popular if anything.
And besides, it's a lot more common than you think to take a few years off before getting serious about college. Not everyone is ready for it at the same time, and that's totally cool.
Good luck!

Sweetie I disagree. I was 30 before I ever set foot on a College campus. I have never been to prison however I have had tons of close friends that have. I believe you will be one of the youngest people on your campus because in my college there are people in their 80's, some in their 60's, some right out of high-school. I have noticed that the ones that are in college right out of high-school or a year or so out, always fail their classes because they are way to interested in "partying." Don't get me wrong, I still love to have a drink and go out to the bars every-now and then however I'm wiser now and feel that my future in my schooling is way more important. You have had a hard start in life however I believe that makes you wise and in a better position to "make it happen." You will do great!!!! Good luck, I will pray for your strength.

You should still go for it...There are 60 year olds in college. I am 25 and tryin g to finish a 4 year degree. You can explain your felony as an act which was committed in your teens. Which hopefully by now, you have outgrown. Good luck. You can lose everything but your education. No one can take that away.

Your past is your past! 22 is Young babY! Focus on your future and think about the reward and fulfillment that you will get with a college education.

you're never to old to go to college. It's some people at my university that have to be at least 50 yrs old. I think a degree will help potential employers see that you are trying to turn your life around. This could help you a lot. Don't give up and always follow your dreams because no one else can fulfill your dreams for you. Good luck.
