Give your mother a great big hug and look into her eyes and tell her you love her for being there for you.
Then set your goal for the new year to pass your next LSAT. The first time is the hardest. Not everyone passes the first time. You're wasting time girl.
And let me know when you pass. I'll be rooting for you.

My daughter-in-law will be taking the LSAT soon. She too is worried. She does not do well on one section of the preparation tests.
I have asked her to explain what is so bad about not passing the LSAT. She says that you have to do well on the first try or it spells the death knell for law school acceptance.
I told her that it should be possible to take some additional classes in logic or some such class to improve ones skills then try again. I have very good negotiation skills and believe that it is still possible to go to law school even with a lower than average score. It is also possible to improve scores and apply again.
I thing my D-I-L wants to go to a highly rated school but I see no reason to go to Michigan when Toledo offers law degrees and one can pass the bar and prosper as an attorney.
Finally, there are other careers that are similar to being an attorney: used car salesman, pick pocket, corrupt politician, ambulance driver (instead of chaser), etc. Lots of them. Many of those careers do not have an array of jokes such as, "What is brown and tan and looks good around a lawyer's neck? A Rottweiler." There are longer jokes too, like the reason they are using lawyers instead of lab rats for research. There are more of them and the lab assistants don't get as attached to lawyers and don't mind killing them after the experiments are over.
If you really want to be an attorney, go for it. You can do it. Maybe in an unconventional way but persistence usually pays off.
Good luck.

Ok. I think you've cried enough. Get a tissue, take a deep breath, kick the damn LSAT prep book and look at it right in the title and say, "I swear to god, I'm going to *destroy* you!"
And believe you really will. Believe that you'll ace it so well that the prep book should be the one crying.
Then, really get on the ball. Look at the answers you got wrong -see where your weaknesses lie. Relentlessly test yourself over, and over. Don't stop until you get everything perfect. You took it once, so now you know exactly what to expect. You'll have a huge advantage over many people in the room. Yes, you do need problem-solving skills to be a lawyer - and there's no reason you can't prove that the second time around. But you also need to be mentally strong and persevere. This is what you need to test YOURSELF on... can you do that? =)

Well you cried and that is because of failure. Now if the law school is what you really want, well then pick yourself up and study some more or get tutoring in Law and take the exam again. Let another person test you several times verbally and written or go to the book store and purchase some books on law or get on the internet and do some research. This time when you take the exam you will be ready. Good luck.

Well first to be an effective lawyer you have to have thicker skin, and think if this job is for you? That is a hard test to take, and many more to follow afterwards not to mention the study....if I were you and you really want this I'd get mad and not let it defeat me like this and proove to myself I can do this. But I get challenged that way! Maybe you just need to get your mind off of it for a while...it gets better! Good Luck have a happy weekend!

Well, if you want to go to law school, apply again, keep doing it till you get in. Never give up. Look I've been in college 3 times, always got asked to never come back. But, I would still go if I had the money. The only joke I know, well I know more then this one, but have forgot them all, except this one, What did the ghost say to the bee? {Oh, its off a movie-Dogfight)
Boo bee.
I know it's childish, but I always laugh so hard at that, don't worry. Try again, keep trying till you get in.
