Call some ad agencies in NY and ask them what modeling agencies they use and then call those agencies and ask for an audition. And do not get the child photographed first. If an agency hires the child they will take the photos they need.

Hi

One of my nieces was a model as a child..not in NY, but I would think it would be pretty much the same anywhere.

How she got started was with the Macy's ads. My sister in law called the Macy's general ad line. Then she went in and met them (all dressed up). Then they asked to take some pics of her. She was very cooperative in the pics and easy to work with and looked good in their clothes. Then from there she started being put in their children clothes ads.

You can start off with local stores. From what I was told, they are always looking for new faces and bodies. You can also check out the toy stores? anywhere that have children pics? etc....

From there you will have a contact person, that may be able to offer you other ideas....people to contact or other jobs. Macy's put her in touch with a photographer for a local store, she was the picture child for them then she moved onto bigger and better things, then at the age of 12, she no longer had fun..but she had enough for tution money...

I hope this helps (even though I don't have contact numbers, etc).

Why haven't you asked the agencies that you have contacted about younger children's agencies. They should know since they are in the business. I would google it and then call around. Then send photos to the ones that take his age group. You just have to ask everyone you talk to. Good luck.

well look in the yellow pages under model agents. you would call them and mail your pictures if they ask for money they are not real. my cousin is a mogel for lots of baby things in michigan that's how he started.he just have to give them 25% of whatever he makes.good luck

don't do that to your daughter. wait for her to tell you she wants to be a model. every parent thinks their child is cute. i think my ten year old son was born cute. i think now he can be a child star because he's funny and talented, but i want him to grow to make his own decisions. so just hold off for awhile. i am not trying to insult you. i just want you to think about holding off for awhile until your daughter makes that choice for herself.
