How can i reduce lag on xbox live?

I have a 360 connected to a linksys wireless router.

Direct connect into your router. Is your computer on at the same time? That can cause a LOT of lag if someone's on it and downloading things, etc. Try turning it off, or just direct connecting to the router only. Or maybe you just need to get your speed higher in order to play.

The connection is key (try cable if you don't have it) but sometimes it depends on so many things, such as volume of online play at the moment, overloaded servers, etc.
