Is it xmas eve, a few days before, or when you put up your decorations earlier in the month?
When do you put them/it out? And what country or state do you live in?

Depending on your traditions, you can either put them up on Xmas Eve or while decorating. If they're nice looking and they go up somewhere nice like the mantle or something, they can serve as decoration. But typically they go out on Xmas Eve because that's when 'Santa' stuffs them

Always goes up along with the xmas decorations, right before halloween! Just kidding... after Thanksgiving...

I live in the USA in Virginia...and I put my stockings up when I decorate the rest of the house, which is usually right after Thanksgiving.

Whenever the tree goes up, the ornaments, decorations, and stockings all go up. Usually it's the weekend after Thanksgiving, or the week after.

In my family all ours get put up right after thanksgiving when we do all our house decorating!!

i put my stockings up above the fireplace every year when we put on the rest of the decorations right after thanksgiving... and i live in ny not that its any of your business...
