Robert Poindexter's biggest song was "It's a Thin Line Between Love and Hate" which was a hit in 1971. He has claimed that he was not paid proper royalties by Warner Chapell. He apparently tried the approach of not paying taxes on the royalties he received in 2000, arguing that the IRS should force the record company to pay additional royalites before he paid taxes on the royalties he DID receive. It didn't work.
