I have almost the same issue. I am 24 years old. by August next year I will have only a AA degree. I am married, that is one difference, but I do not think that is a must, as long as you both responsible and loving parents it does not matter (in my opinion) All f a sudden, I got this desired of a baby. My husband is almost 30, so he is ready to rock and roll. I enroll on a insurance (from my college) that covers maternity but it will start on January, I have to wait until then at least. I do not have a house, we rent. Money wise, well like any other couple.... if I have to wait until I have everything (material) I want... maybe I will never have a child. So I am going for it starting January!!! Good luck!!!

You can take Tums and Rolaids, sure, but if the heartburn is that bad, they won't even take the edge off.
Next step, with your doctor's OK, is to take over-the-counter Zantac. The double-strength (150mg) form was OK for me to take twice a day.
Eventually, the Zantac didn't help either. That's when you move on to the prescription stuff. My OB prescribed Prevacid, and I never had another day of heartburn. (And mine was so bad I felt like the acid was literally eating through my chest...)

Heartburn is usually triggered by eating large meals, fatty meals, spicy meals, alcohol, or eating close to the time when you go to bed. https://tr.im/HeartburnTreatment
For other people certain foods might cause a problem, tomato, onion, or citrus, for example. You can try to avoid the more common triggers or you can keep a food diary and figure out which items are your specific triggers.

Once you know that you can't eat chocolate, for example, without getting heartburn you may choose to eliminate it or reduce the amount you consume. There are many notices and ways to treat your hearburn at home. Read more here:

Assuming that you're not lactose intolerant, milk, or try preggo pops. Malox and Tums have stuff in them that's bad for the baby. Dehydrated papaya works great too.

Ask your doctor if you can use baby gas drops called Simethicone. They are safe and VERY helpful. You don't need a prescription for them, either.

O I feel for you sweetie..I am 27 weeks and am having it soo bad...go get some rolaids. Rolaids and tums are pretty much all you can take without the doctors perscription....Rolaids works best for me. Some times I feel like I am eating them like candy...because I get heart burn so often...try drinking cold water...and sitting up rather than laying down. good luck.
