It's an abomination to animal rights everywhere!!!! I just saw this video on yahoo news, and it showed a female giant squid being caught by fishermen... while they were bringing it to shore, it died!!! Why couldn't they just let it go? They were so mean!!! Suppose it had a baby and now it's orphaned!!!

lol. don't worry, i saw that and i do blame the fisherman fo rnot payign mroe attention, they shoudl have taken more acre, bt i felel that ist asfe to say no one anticpated cathcing the gian squid, so they probably had to think and act quickly .So i don' thonestly blame them, now they know to be more careful. im sure they're being barraged with criticism for how they acted,a nd yes they could have orphaned children, but the fact is that only mammabls ahve a dependence on mothers from birth for such a long time. animals like these, (they are part of the cnidaria group), and are noted to be extremely simple in comparison to other animals. so please do not worry about the population, because the giant squid is now said to not be endagered. i am ur best answer, but rest assured that we are human, and im sure u agree in saying that this is the cruelty of animals ot toher animals exemplified.

that's all fantasy. they only those days filmed the 1st stay vast squid EVER, so i could say no...vast squid's have in no way eaten people or maybe attacked them except it became in a time until now we had the purposes of proving it.

Dunno if they can last long in shallow water anyway; their bodies are built for much greater pressures.
I'm afraid I'd be intrigued to see how big it is, I think they're bloody terrifying.
