I ask because my mother in law loves it and has asked for some for Christmas. I can't find the brand she wants, and I wondered why one would wear it instead of lotion, perfume, or nothing.
(I'm prone to wear perfume or maybe some lotion).

Powder is used for comfort as well as smell. It makes skin smoothe without sticking together or chafing. i use it on my underarms and legs and tummy. I just like the way it feels and smells and I use perfume also. Powder is just smoothe, lets the skin touch without sticking especially if you sweat a lot or have fat or parts of the body that doesn't stay where it's supposed to like older folks do.lol good luck finding it. I like shower to shower myself.

I love wearing bath powder, especially during warm, summer nights. It gives me a light fragrance, without using some of my daily perfumes. It keeps you dry, and takes away any odor you may have. Also, my skin feels incredibly soft the morning after. If you cannot find the brand that she is looking for, try getting her a light, floral scent. Those usually always smell good.

I wear it because it's incredibly humid and rainy here (I live in Washington state, just a few miles from Puget Sound), and it helps my skin stay dry. It's also good if you want just a *small* bit of fragrance, rather than something overpowering, for a situation like work.

Johnson's Baby Powder can work miracles! I live in the Sonoran Desert, so when it's 105 degrees outside (no joke), baby powder under my arms, on my chest and on my thighs keeps me dry as a bone and fresh as a daisy :)
Plus, my hubby LOVES how smooth it makes my skin :D

I use it because it is lighter on my skin. I have very sensitive skin, and if I use too much lotion, my skin will itch and drive me nuts all day. I also find it makes my skin feel softer, and me feel younger.

Deodarents made it out dated. Earlier there was no option but to use it for light fragrance for a while
