I just recieved an iPod nano, but don't have a pc at home, nor do I have an itunes account. I do have lots of disks with Mp3 files on them, but it seem from the instructions that I must begin an itunes account, download software, and pay fees just to put this music onto the ipod. Is there a way to use previously stored music, not music that you purchased from itunes, on an iPod? Or do you have to play by the apple rules and pay the fees?

You are required to use the iTunes software, but you need not purchase from the iTunes music store. If you have Mp3's, then you can jsut copy them into iTunes and then onto your iPod. However, you do need a computer.
